Bawumia off to Mauritius for their 49th Independence day celebrations
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president of Ghana has left the country to attend the 49th Independence and 25th Republic Day celebrations of Mauritius.
The vice president left the capital on Thursday night, for the events which are slated for Sunday, March 12 and will return on Monday, March 13.

During his visit, Dr Bawumia will hold bilateral talks with Mauritius' President Ameenah Gurib and Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth as well as other Mauritian government officials.

According to a statement released by the presidency, Dr. Bawumia, "will also attend a Breakfast Business Meeting hosted by the Mauritian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, in Collaboration with the Board of Investment.”
The delegation accompanying the vice president include, Minister for Foreign Affairs Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Minister for Communications Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister for Business Development Ibrahim Awal and Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Investment Promotion Centre Reginald Grant.
